The following are the policy updates for July 2015:
Equal Opportunity Statement (1070) – Updated to comply with Presidential Executive Order 13672 requiring the University to add gender identity as a protected class.
Academic Probation and Dismissal (3000) – Revised to raise minimum GPA standards for satisfactory academic standing. The new GPA minimums will go into effect fall 2017. Additional revisions comply with State Board of Education (SBOE) policy to 1) limit students to three total dismissals and 2) allow a minimum one-term stop-out and maximum two reinstatements. The policy encourages deeper engagement between the student and the University with an emphasis on higher academic standards and intentional student goal setting.
Fees for Nontraditional Academic Programs (NEW -6320) – Created to provide greater clarity for academic departments seeking to use the self-support academic program funding model and the online program fee funding model. It guides how the University will implement the new online program fee that the SBOE recently authorized.
Investment Policy (6050) – Revised to permit split rating investments as allowed by the SBOE and the Idaho State Treasurer.
Mail Services (8080) – Revised to reflect the change from a University run mail services to a centrally run service overseen by the State of Idaho, Department of Administration.
